Associates degree of one subject to a bachelors degree in another subject?

I recently received an associates degree in Radiologic Technology from a technical college. I’d like to obtain a bachelors but more than likely it’ll be in something completely unrelated. My question is, will I have to start from scratch and go to school for four additional years for my bachelors, or should it only take two years since I have an associates in something already. If possible, I’d appreciate a link to where you get your information from. I appreciate your time.

The academic counselors at the school where you earned your AA or AS either know or can find out which of your credits will transfer to all or to specific universities. It’s a good part of what they do. It would be my guess that, while the courses specific only to radiologic technology may or may not transfer, the courses common to all associates and bachelors degrees, such as math, language, science, social science, etc., should.
