Are there any famous people who earned masters or doctorate degrees without a bachelors degree or diploma?

A coworker asked me if I’d ever heard of someone remarkable and well-known who somehow got a masters or doctorate without a high school diploma or a bachelor’s degree. Now, I know that Jane Goodall got a doctorate without a bachelors, but that’s the only one I know. Any others?

Can a TEFL with a bachelors degree allow me to teach English in most foreign countries?

If I have a bachelors degree and then i get my TEFL certificate, will I be able to teach in most foreign countries? Is there anything else that is required in some countries? Also does my Bachelor have to be in Teaching English?

Could you please please help me choose between these two universities?

I want to transfer (am in Africa) to a university in USA for a bit of exposure and also because it would be much easier (i think) to do my Master’s in an American university than if i were from one in Africa (i’d probably have to take extra tests, interviews etc). So i’m thinking of going to either UNCG (University of North Carolina at Greensboro) or University of Central Oklahoma. Which would be better and why? Thanks in advance for all the help.

Oh and by the way, i am certain i’ll be accepted at University of Central Oklahoma as i already sent them my transcripts and they said yes. I’m not too sure about UNCG. Also, would i have a good chance of going to a top tier school for my postgraduate degree if i go to any of the above schools for my Bachelor’s? And could you please rate them in terms of quality of education?

What would be good companies in the oil and gas industry for a soon to be MBA graduate to apply at?

I will be graduating in December with an MBA. My Bachelor’s degree is in Biology with a minor in physical science. I’m really excited about being in the oil and gas industry, but am just not sure which would be good companies to apply to. I preferably would love to be in the Tulsa or Oklahoma City area, but also would be willing to go to Texas. I think I would like to work for a good small to medium sized company, so probably nothing like Exxon Mobile. I’m extremely confused right now about starting the job search process, so any advice would be greatly appreciated!

Which large city would be best place to which a small town guy can move?

I am a small town boy in Kentucky, born & raised here in the state. I’ve spent a total of less than 11 mos. in urban areas. I’ve never lived on a farm, but have otherwise lived within five minutes of farmland. In my town, the biggest hangout is Wal-Mart, followed by Kroger and McDonald’s.

I will receive my Bachelor’s degree in two years and would love to attend law school. I have the grades to be accepted, as well as the analytical and arguing skills and basic understanding of the law and Constitution to get a basic head start. (I know law school is much deeper than that and with more breadth…)

My top picks of places to move to: Dallas/Fort Worth, Houston, Austin, San Antonio, Oklahoma City, Birmingham, Memphis, Nashville, Atlanta, Denver, Salt Lake City, Seattle, Portland, OR

Places I would like to avoid at all costs: Louisville, Detroit, New York, North Jersey, LA, any city in California, DC, Baltimore, Philly

Consider people, hospitality, food, culture, climate, beauty
drew_2_0_2: Not to downgrade your state, but I like Florida for the beaches. I don’t think I’d want to live there, either. OK, maybe Tallahassee wouldn’t be so bad.

University of Chicago?

I know its a prestigious school, and rather hard to get into. Does anyone know exactly how hard and what it takes?

I’ve done my research and it looks great. I’m from Oklahoma, and I want to get my bachelor’s degree here at OU, (before or after this possibly join the army or just do the ROTC thing), then attend medical school at University of Chicago, complete my residency and hopefully get a job in Chicago!
If it helps, here is a little bit of information:
I’m a junior at a rather small (2A) high school. My sophomore year I made a 26 on my ACT and I haven’t got back my results for the PSAT. I have all A’s, except for 2 B’s from my freshman year in English and Computer Tech, and it’s going to stay that way! I am a concurrent student at the OKC community college. I plan on having at least 8 college credits (if not more with AP classes) under my belt by high school graduation (All of these credits will be transferrable). My extracurricular is band (3 instruments, hopefully drum major).

Out of state tuition for college?

I am currently finishing up my bachelor’s degree in Oklahoma, but plan to move with my bf to Florida in December and start my masters at a school in Fl. Now, how does out of state tuition work? I thought that you had to live in the state for 6 months or 1 year or something like that to be considered a resident, which we do plan to be. After that time period, does my tuition drop down to the regular Florida resident’s tuition? Or will I always be recognized by the school as an out of state-er paying out of state tuition? Also, does anyone know the time period that you have to have lived in the state? Any info helps! Thanks for your time. = )
